Inquest examining Lena Anderson's death set

An inquest will look into the death of Lena Anderson, a 23-year-old who died of an apparent suicide while in a police vehicle

The Regional Coroner's office has scheduled an inquest into the death of a woman on the Kasabonika Lake First Nation.

Lena Anderson, 23, died in February of 2013 from an apparent suicide while inside a police vehicle.

Reports indicate she was being kept in the vehicle because the heat inside the newly-built NAPS police detachment hadn't been turned on yet.

The inquest will be held in Thunder Bay starting Nov. 1.

It is expected to last four days.
