THUNDER BAY - An assault case dating back to July now has a suspect in custody.
A nurse was assaulted at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on July 17 while attending to a patient.
Police report that the nurse was struck by the patient to whom she was providing medical care and subsequently suffered a concussion from the incident.
Officers were dispatched to a home on August 5 and identified the suspect, who was placed under arrest.
A 35-year-old Thunder Bay woman has been charged with assault and two counts of failing to comply with probation orders. She has since been remanded into custody.
