Kakabeka Falls man charged with impaired driving

A man faces impaired driving charges after a single-vehicle collision west of Kakabeka Falls over the weekend.

THUNDER BAY — A Kakabeka Falls man faces impaired driving charges after a single-vehicle collision west of the community over the weekend.

Officers with the OPP’s Thunder Bay detachment responded to the collision on Connolly Road, in Marks Township, around midnight on Sunday.

The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

Police charged a 28-year-old Kakabeka Falls man with operation while impaired, and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80-plus.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay in January, the OPP said in a release.
