MARATHON, Ont. – A 35-year-old Kamloops, B.C. man is facing three drug-related charges after police observe vehicle stuck in the snow Sunday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police officer was on patrol on High 17 near Highway 614 Sunday around 1:45 p.m. when he observed a motor vehicle stuck in the snow on a service road.
Police say after further investigation, the officer found 10.25 kilograms of marijuana, 3.9 kilograms of mushrooms and a large quantity of cash.
The 35-year-old was arrested and charged for possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling, controlled drugs and substances act, possession of a schedule 3 substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
He is being held for video bail hearing in Marathon on Monday.
