Kenora OPP respond to complaint of razor blade in candy

OPP say the candy was possibly received on the south side of the city.

KENORA, Ont. -- Police say a member of the public found a razor blade in a package of Halloween licorice.

Ontario Provincial Police, in a release, say they received a call at about 4 p.m. on Sunday about a candy that had been tampered with.

They said the complainant reported the package had been tampered with and a small razor blade was found inside.

Police said it's believed the candy was received on the south side of Kenora.

Parents are strongly recommended to inspect all of their children's Halloween candy and look for anything that has been unwrapped, ripped or opened.
