(THUNDER BAY, ON)- On Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at approximately 7:40 pm, an officer from the Upsala Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an erratic driver on Highway 17, west of Upsala.
The officer located the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop and while speaking with the driver, the officer determined the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was transported to detachment for further tests.
A 23-year-old Kenora woman was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mgs of Alcohol contrary to the Criminal Code.
She is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on August 23, 2016 to answer to the charges.
