THUNDER BAY—City police say they’ve arrested a 38-year-old man for robbery.

In a release issued on Friday, police say they responded a week ago, on Feb. 7, to a commercial address in the 900 block of Fort William Road, after a robbery had been reported.

According to police, the accused entered the business, brandishing a knife, and stole merchandise, fleeing before officers arrived.

The break, enter and robbery unit then became involved.

A suspect was identified through the course of the investigation and the suspect was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 12.

The accused was charged with robbery and breach of probation. He appeared in court on Thursday and was remanded into custody to face a future court date.
