THUNDER BAY — The Lakehead District School Board will be looking for a new Superintendent of Education.

Current superintendent Sherri-Lynne Pharand is moving to Kenora, where she will assume the position of Director of Education for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board.

Her appointment takes effect Jan. 21, 2020.

Pharand began her career in education as a teacher in 1990.

She served as a vice-principal and principal, and took on various leadership roles in the ensuing years, including the development and implementation of the Lakehead board's Urban Aboriginal Education Project.
