A girl injured in a crash on Lakeshore Drive has died, police confirmed Wednesday afternoon.
Officials with the Thunder Bay detachment of the OPP say Paige Matte-Gurney, 9, was one of four passengers in a Ford Focus Monday afternoon when the driver lost control and collided with a west-bound Ford Explorer.
The four passengers were taken to hospital, with Paige and another child facing injuries that were described as life-threatening.
Police say Paige died Tuesday.
The other child remains in hospital.
The driver of the Explorer was not injured.
The investigation continues.
