THUNDER BAY — Synergy North reported a widespread power outage in Thunder Bay Tuesday afternoon.
According to the utility's outage map, the outage Tuesday initially involved an estimated 2,500 to 3,000 customers.
The affected area was along and adjacent to the Arthur Street corridor from Edward Street to the city limit.
A tree making contact with a power line caused the outage.
Synergy North estimated power would be restored by 3 p.m.
By 3 p.m., it said only 25 to 100 customers were offline, and that their power should be restored by 4 p.m.
