THUNDER BAY — The Mary JL Black Library has reopened after Tuesday's rainstorm resulted in an emergency closure.

The Thunder Bay Public Library shut the doors on its South Edward Street branch in the afternoon when it discovered a water leak in the roof.

A spokesperson said staff were able to protect books from being damaged, but there is some damage to the drywall in the women's washroom.

The building was reopened to the public Wednesday morning.
