Live from the Rock Folk Festival presents Heavy Rotation

Limited tickets available for two-day outdoor concert, Heavy Rotation.

THUNDER BAY – Live from the Rock Folk Festival is presenting Heavy Rotation, a two-day outdoor concert on Oct. 16 and 17

“The great thing about Heavy Rotation is that we were really looking, as a board, at activities that we could do that we were able to make sure there wasn’t too much of a crowd gathered in one spot, so we’ve actually come up with a concept that’s a rotating festival,” said Laura Foulds, festival chair.

“Heavy Rotation is basically taking place over two days simultaneously in both Red Rock at the marina building and here at Mount Baldy.”

The two-day concert will feature performances from eight different bands and performers who will be grouped into two groups of four and perform at each venue on the first day and rotate to the other venue for the second day,

The event will also include food vendors, artist and festival merchandise, alcoholic beverage sales and on-site campfire pit stops. Patrons at the Red Rock venue will enjoy festival favourites served up by the new Bussin B's food booth recently opened by young local entrepreneur Carter Boudreau, while attendees at the Mount Baldy venue will be treated to wood-fired pizza sales from WE KNEAD PIZZA.

Performances at the concert will include:

  • Rodney Brown
  • JordinLaine
  • Olivia Korkola
  • Jamie Smith
  • Mike Procyshyn
  • Cassidy Houston
  • Greenbank
  • Gibson, Martin & I

In line with the recently released Ontario vaccine passport framework, ticket holders will not be required to show proof of vaccination for entry to the outdoor event; however, social distancing, mandatory masks and COVID screening at the gates will be strictly enforced. Hand sanitizer stations will also be set up at the gates and on-site.

Attendees are reminded to bring their own lawn chairs and anyone interested in fall camping in Red Rock may do so with regular summer daily rates applicable and payable to the Township of Red Rock.

Tickets are limited, only 100 tickets per venue, and interested people are encouraged to buy them as soon as possible
