THUNDER BAY — Townline Equestrian Centre will be turning into a lively dance floor on Sunday, filled with the cutest, friendliest goats you've ever met.
Kickin’ It Country with Lady T and the equestrian centre have joined forces to present Line Dancing with Goats.
“It's all you can cuddle animal time along with a really great beginner line dancing lesson,” said Julie Grgurich, owner of Townline Equestrian Centre.
"Lady T from Kickin’ It Country is amazing. Her energy is so positive and everyone just has so much fun.”
Lady T will guide participants through exciting line dance steps. The easy-to-follow instructions make it versatile for beginners and seasoned dancers to both have a great time.
There will be a variety of music genres, so every style can enjoy the festivities.
Grgurich said Line Dancing with Goats is an exciting afternoon, made for anybody who can put on a pair of boots.
“It's just super fun and you know what, some people don't even bother line dancing, they just play with the animals, everything is cool here,” Grgurich said.
“We pay the instructor and then any profit that we make off of this goes directly to our programs that we do on or off site, too,” she said.
Townline Equestrian Centre offers experiences like attending group or senior’s homes and runs them solely based on donation.
“We do natural horsemanship training. We have riding instructors here so there are riding lessons that people can sign up for, we do group camps, we do some spiritual healing with horses, we have children with disabilities that come and ride horses here. We do community service work where we go and visit the group homes with some of our creatures. We try as much as we can to get the community involved with horses and people and goats and all the other critters,” she said.
Line Dancing with Goats will be on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. and every participant will receive a free hot chocolate.
