TORONTO -- A lucky Longlac resident has an extra $100,000 in his pocket.

Daniel Duchene, 56, won a top prize in the Instant High 5 and told Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation officials he’s been playing the same numbers for the past three years.

“Every day I get a coffee and the paper around 10 a.m.,” he said while picking up his cheque in Toronto.

“I had $10 in my pocket, so I bought two tickets. I won $15 on one and $100,000 on the other.”

He double checked his ticket, returning to Forestry Confectionary on Forestry Road in Longlac.

“Everyone knows everyone at this store, so when the clerk saw that I was a big winner, she was very happy for me. I was shaking,” Duchene said in a release issued by OLGC.

Plans for the money include a trip to Saskatchewan to visit his son and spoil his six grandchildren.

“I am really looking forward to hunting more with my son.”
