THUNDER BAY — A city woman plans to use her lottery winnings to pay down the mortgage and perhaps attend a Premier League soccer match.

But after winning $100,000 when her Encore numbers came up in a recent OLG Daily Grand draw, Tammy Larson reassured her boss she plans to keep working.

Larson bought the ticket for the Nov. 28 draw at the Good Luck Lottery Shoppe in Grandview Mall.

"I was at the store when I used the ticket checker to see how I did. When I saw the prize amount, I couldn't believe it," she told OLG staff while visiting the prize centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

Larson said "I've always tried to live life to the fullest. I've swum with dolphins in Jamaica, skydived in Manitoba, and ridden down the longest zipline in Canada."

She said her next trip may involve a trip to the UK to catch a Tottenham Hotspur match.
