No one took home the $55-million Lotto Max jackpot on Friday night, but someone in the Thunder Bay area could be a millionaire nonetheless.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation officials confirmed on Saturday that a winning $1-million Encore ticket was purchased in Thunder Bay. Five second-place prizes were also sold, bought in Hamilton, Peterborough, Pickering, Toronto and Ottawa. Each of those tickets is worth $115,403. A pair of Encore tickets worth $100,000 apiece were sold in the Richmond Hill area and Sarnia.

It's the second straight week for a huge lottery win in the Thunder Bay area. Someone bought a ticket worth $498,000 in last Friday's Lotto Max draw.

Next week's jackpot will be $60 million, with 21 Maxmillions prizes of $1 million.
