LU looking for Fellow of the University award nominations

Lakehead University’s board of governors is looking to honour people who have helped the Thunder Bay school grow. On Monday the university put out a call for nominations for their Fellow of the University award.

Lakehead University’s board of governors is looking to honour people who have helped the Thunder Bay school grow.

On Monday the university put out a call for nominations for their Fellow of the University award.

“Candidates should have substantially contributed to education at Lakehead University, as well as to the University’s growth and development. They should be active participants in charities, service clubs, community organizations, and business and professional groups,” the board of directors said in  a release.

Successful nominees earn the right to attend and speak at board meetings as a non-voting member, as well as the right to participate in convocation ceremonies.

Deadline for nominations is Feb. 5.

Nominations may be submitted to Karen Roche, the university secretariat, at [email protected] or at UC 2002, Lakehead University, 955 Oliver Road, Thunder Bay, Ont. P7B 5E1.
