THUNDER BAY - A man was sent to hospital with non life-threatning injuries after a shooting early Monday morning.

On August 1st, 2016 at approximately 1:01 a.m. Thunder Bay Police officers attended a Simpson Street bar in response to a male that had been shot.

The 55-year-old was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital with a gun shot wound that was non-life threatening. He was later released from the hospital.

The suspect has not been identified as of yet. The Criminal Investigations Branch and Identification unit are continuing the investigation.
