A 43-year-old from Kakabeka Falls faces several charges after attempting to evade police while out on an area lake.
Provincial police said officers, along with Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry personnel, were conducting marine enforcement on Northern Lights Lake on Saturday night.
Police said a person was observed operating a marine vessel in an erratic manner. Officers attempted to stop the vessel, but the suspect returned to shore and attempted to run away.
Officers then went to shore and found the suspect, leading to an arrest.
The accused faces a number of charges, including impaired operation and failing to have proof of competency onboard a pleasure craft.
The accused was issued a 90-day driver's licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
