KENORA, Ont. – One man is dead following a collision between a pick-up truck and a tractor trailer on Highway 17.
According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, police responded to a motor vehicle collision Friday morning on Highway 17, east of Williard Lake.
The driver of the pick-up truck was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver and passenger of the tractor-trailer unit sustained minor injuries.
Highway 17 remains closed. Highway 71 and Highway 502 are open as a detour.
The identity of the driver will be released upon next of kin notification.
The investigation is ongoing.
