UPDATED: Man shot in Trillium Court incident

THUNDER BAY — A man suffered serious injuries in an incident Sunday that saw Thunder Bay Police respond in force after reports of a shooting.

The victim remained in hospital Monday but his condition was unknown.

He was located by police after they responded to a weapons call around 4 p.m. Sunday to the Trillium Court area off Beverly Street.

TBPS was assisted by Ontario Provincial Police, and multiple officers were observed with their weapons drawn, crouching behind cover.

No one is believed to have been taken into custody yet in connection with the case.

A police presence remained at the scene Monday morning, but a brief update issued to the news media did not include the announcement of any arrests.

The Thunder Bay Police major crimes unit continues its investigation.

Police are asking any residents with relevant footage captured on home surveillance cameras or dash cameras between 4:15 pm and 4:45 pm Sunday to contact investigators.
