THUNDER BAY — Police have taken a man into custody after another person was injured in an altercation early Wednesday morning.
The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. in the Junot Avenue/Windsor Street area.
The Thunder Bay Police Service said officers responded to reports of an assault with a weapon, and found a seriously injured adult male.
First aid was provided at the scene before the victim was taken to hospital.
The investigation led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man on charges of aggravated assault and failure to comply with a release order.
He appeared in court and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
