THUNDER BAY — A 43-year-old man is wanted on multiple charges of dangerous driving after fleeing from city police earlier this week.

The Thunder Bay Police Service issued a news release on Friday afternoon, announcing that James Andrew Morrow is wanted on three counts each of dangerous driving and flight from a peace officer.

Police said the most recent incident involving Morrow happened on Tuesday, when an officer saw him driving a pickup truck on City Road Tuesday afternoon.

The officer recognized Morrow and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle sped away. A pursuit was called off due to public safety concerns, police said.

"Due to the suspect’s repeated attempts to flee from police, and the belief his actions represent a risk to public safety, police are requesting public assistance in an effort to safely locate and arrest the accused," police said in the Friday news release.

Morrow is described as a white man, about five-foot-nine in height with a medium build, with blond hair and blue eyes. The vehicle he was seen in on Tuesday was a red GMC pickup truck with Ontario licence plate BB48648, though that plate number is not registered to that vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
