THUNDER BAY — Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed the identity of the person who died in a highway accident west of Thunder Bay on the weekend.
The deceased was a 49-year-old woman from Winnipeg.
OPP said she was the driver of a passenger vehicle involved in a collision with a transport truck about 10 a.m. Saturday on Highway 17.
The accident forced the closure of the highway between Sistonen's Corner and Upsala for an extended period.
The investigation into the collision continues.
