MARATHON, Ont. -- An early-morning traffic stop by Ontario Provincial Police in Marathon resulted in a loss of driving privileges, and a court date for a local resident.
Officers pulled a vehicle over at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday after spotting it travelling at high speed.
When they detected the odour of alcohol and observed other signs of impairment, the officers requested a breath sample from the woman driving the vehicle.
Because she refused, she was arrested and charged with failing to provide a breath sample.
The woman, who's 30 years old, was also given a mandatory 90-day driver's licence suspension, and had her vehicle impounded for seven days.
She has a date in court next month.
