THUNDER BAY - A 19-year-old GTA man charged with first-degree murder in connection to the death of a Toronto man will undergo a 10-day psychiatric examination.
On Wednesday, July 22, a Thunder Bay judge ordered Terrell Williams to undergo a psychiatric assessment to be conducted by the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Williams and his co-accused, Trayvon Stewart, 19, are both charged with the first-degree murder of 28-year-old Adrian Kadeem Drysdale.
Both men were arrested in Toronto and Timmins respectively on June 23.
Thunder Bay police were dispatched to a residential address on May Street where they found a man with significant injuries on March 23. The male died from his injuries and officers determined a firearm was involved in the incident.
Police have said the killing was drug-related and the suspects and victims were known to each other.
A court-ordered psych assessment will determine if the accused is unfit to stand trial.
Williams’s next court appearance is scheduled for July 29.
