SASKATOON -- Krista McCarville is two wins away from the Olympic Games.
The Thunder Bay skip made a tricky hit-and-stick with her final stone in an extra end on Saturday afternoon, scoring the game-winning point to take the tiebreaker against Manitoba's Kerri Einarson 4-3.
Einarson, the two-time defending Scotties Tournament of Hearts champion, had a draw for two to win the match in the 10th, but was long and only able to score one to tie the game 3-3. The consolation prize is a spot at the 2022 Scotties in Thunder Bay, where she'll wear the Team Canada colours.
McCarville, who blanked the first four ends with hammer before being forced to one in the fifth, will take on Jennifer Jones in the semifinal for the right to take on former Northern Ontario rival Tracy Fleury in Sunday's championship.
Fleury, who originally hails from Sudbury, was 7-0 in the round robin.
It was McCarville's second straight win over Einarson at the Olympic Trials, which are being contested in Saskatoon, Sask.
