LIVERPOOL, N.S. – Krista McCarville continued her strong start at the Canadian Olympic Curling pre-trials in Liverpool, N.S.

On Wednesday McCarville stole five in the ninth end and scored a 12-5 win over Winnipeg’s Beth Peterson to improve to 3-0, in the hunt for one of two spots at the Olympic curling trials later this year.

McCarville trailed 2-1 after the second end and 3-2 after four, but picked up four in the sixth to take control of the match.

The Thunder Bay skip is tied with Corryn Brown atop the Pool A standings, one of two remaining undefeated squads.

Team McCarville, which also includes Sarah Potts, Ashley Sippala and Kendra Lilly, will take on Yelloknife’s Kerry Galusha in the evening draw on Tuesday.
