THUNDER BAY -- McDonald’s Canada plans to hire 80 people in Thunder Bay next Wednesday.

The fast-food chain said the new employees will be brought on board as part of its national hiring day, which will see up to 3,000 people across Ontario and 7,000 people across the country given employment.

The one-day hiring event was presented by the company as a chance for Canadians to learn more about local jobs and to potentially have an on-the-spot interview.
