Officials with the Ministry of Labour continue to investigate a fatal industrial incident that took place on Monday at the construction site at the Thunder Bay Country Club.
The victim's name is not being released, but city police now confirm that the victim was a 31-year-old man from Thunder Bay.
He was working for LTL Contracting when he was run over by a 30-ton dump truck that was backing up at the time. The man was rushed to hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.
Ministry of Labour spokesperson Matt Blajer said the ministry has issued a series of work orders against the companies on site, specifically regarding the operation of large trucks in reverse.
The Thunder Bay Country Club and a private developer have just started building a new clubhouse and six-storey condominium on the site.
