THUNDER BAY — The MPP for Thunder Bay-Atikokan has received a new responsibility in Premier Doug Ford's government.

Kevin Holland is now the parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Long-Term Care, while retaining his previous role of parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Mines.

It's one of a series of reassignments for Progressive Conservative backbenchers recently announced by Ford.

Holland has previously served as parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, the Minister of Northern Development, and the Minister of Indigenous Affairs.

Parliamentary assistants support ministers with their duties, but are not members of cabinet.
