Multiple guns, ammo and drugs seized by OPP in bust

OPP suspect the drugs seized during this investigation have an estimated street value of $174,763.

THUNDER BAY — OPP in Thunder Bay seized a large amount of illicit drugs during a recent traffic stop. 

Officers were following up on an attempted a traffic stop where the suspect fled on foot.

At that time, a search of the vehicle produced a loaded handgun, a multi-round magazine, and large amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine and fentanyl. 

Officers were able to identify the suspect and later located them at a residence in the city of Thunder Bay.

Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop, at which time the suspect again fled on foot but was quickly apprehended by police at a nearby home. 

Investigators seized an additional loaded handgun, more suspected crack cocaine and fentanyl. 

On Nov. 19, OPP conducted a related search warrant on a residence on Margaret Street, which resulted in the seizure of three more guns, cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia

A 27-year-old individual from Brampton is facing upwards of 25 offences related to drug possession, weapons charges and more. 

OPP suspect the drugs seized during this investigation have an estimated street value of $174,763.
