NDP Leader Andrea Horwath has laid out her final demands to support the McGuinty Liberals' budget.
She says there's nothing in the fiscal plan to help the unemployed, so she wants a $250-million job creation tax credit.
Horwath also wants the minority Liberals to implement a two per cent surtax on the rich, and cut the HST from home heating bills.
Premier Dalton McGuinty is pouring cold water on the proposals, saying he'd have preferred to see some new ideas about how to save money, instead of spending proposals.
Thunder Bay MPP Bill Mauro says all reasonable ideas will be entertained, and adds there's a lot in the budget for the NDP to vote for.
Economic Development Minister Brad Duguid called the list of NDP budget demands a "spending spree.''
That crucial vote on the Liberal budget is expected to take place on April 24 or 25.
