NEEBING — A homeowner came home Wednesday afternoon to find their house burned to the ground.
The blaze levelled the home on Pardee Road and claimed the lives of the family's pets.
Neebing fire chief Dale Ashbee said the department was contacted just before 4 p.m. when it was discovered by the homeowner.
"When we got to the property the house was down and substantially down and burned," he said. "No one was in it. Every one was away at the time."
Ashbee said the home was located on a quiet road that was not visible from busier highways.
The cause of the fire was not known as of Thursday morning, Ashbee said.
A GoFundMe has been set up to support the family.
