North Stars snap five-game losing streak

Seven different scorers power Thunder Bay to 7-1 victory.

FORT FRANCES, Ont. -- The Thunder Bay North Stars five-game slide is over.

The Stars got goal from seven different players on Friday night, downing the host Fort Frances Lakers 7-1 to pick up their first victory since Nov. 30.

Anthony Kuzenko, Pier-Luc Bellard, Hunter Foreshew, Edison Weeks, Dimitri Trahiotis, Hayden Cattani and Lou Vesperini were the goal scorers.

Ian Kimble had the lone goal for Fort Frances, coming off just their third win of 2021-22.

Trennis Riley made 33 saves to pick up the win, his first in the Superior International Junior Hockey League.

The Stars, playing for the fourth time in four nights, and Lakers will wrap up their two-game set on Saturday night.
