THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay North Stars are planning to honour Team McCarville at their home-ice finale on Saturday afternoon.

The Superior International Junior Hockey League team is hoping to fill the stands and plan to donate 100 per cent of the chuck-a-puck proceeds to a charity of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts bronze medallist's choice, The Children's Aid Society.

The first 600 fans will receive a custom gift from Impact Promotions and everyone is encouraged to wear green and gold to support Team McCarville and the North Stars, as they take on their biggest rival, the Kam River Fighting Walleye.

On Friday night the team will recognize organizers of the Tim McFarlane Hockey Classic.

Puck drop on Friday night is 7:30 p.m. at Fort William Gardens, while Saturday's matinee, a precursor to the OUA men's hockey bronze-medal game later that night, goes at 1:30 p.m.
