NWHU reports four new COVID-19 cases

There are currently 12 active cases in the district.

KENORA, Ont. --- Four new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported on Saturday by the Northwestern Health Unit.

Two of the cases were found in the Kenora region and the other two were found in the Dryden/Red Lake region.

There are presently 12 active, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the NWHU catchment area, including three in Dryden/Red Lake, five in Kenora (one of which is currently outside the district), two in Rainy River and two in Sioux Lookout. There have been 1,079 total cases since the pandemic began.

Follow up with the persons involved and their contacts has started according to protocol. Anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be contacted directly.
