THUNDER BAY — A 32-year-old from Thunder Bay has died after a single-vehicle incident on Highway 102 early Thursday morning.

Provincial police said emergency services were called to the scene just after 4 a.m.

Police said a single pickup truck was found in the ditch just west of Mapleward Road.

The driver was taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident. The highway had been closed, but it was been reopened to a single lane.

Motorists are being encouraged to avoid Highway 102, and instead use Highway 11/17 to avoid delays.
