OPP conduct traffic initiative at Sistonens Corner

Forty-nine charges laid following a three-day traffic initiative at Sistenons Corner.

THUNDER BAY -- Several motor vehicle collision at Sistonens Corner led to a traffic initiative conducted by OPP.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, between March 25 and March 27, officers conducted a traffic initiative in and around the junction of Highway 102 and Highway 11/17.

This initiative was brought as part of an enforcement and education campaign after several motor vehicle collisions occurred at the intersection in the past year.

The focus was on traffic safety under the Highway Traffic Act and a total of 49 charges were laid during this initiative.

Police would like to remind the travelling public to focus on their safety and others while using the roadway.
