OPP investigating death in Longlac, which led to drug raid

Three days after being called to look into a suspicious death, police obtain a warrant and seize methamphetamine and cash from Longlac home.

LONGLAC, Ont. -- Ontario Provinical Police are investigating the sudden death of a 29-year-old man in Longlac, Ont. 

The Greenstone detachment, in a release issued on Wednesday night, say they received a call at about 5:30 a.m. on Sunday to a residence on John Street residence to investigate the death of Ian Shaganash. 

Three days later police obtained a warrant and raided the same residence, where they seized four ounces of suspected methamphetamine and about $7,600 in cash. 

Jocelyne Shea, 27, of Longlac was arrested and charged with several offences, including possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine and cocaine, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and two counts of failure to comply with a release order. 

Police say they are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
