THUNDER BAY — A recent traffic stop on Dawson Road resulted in multiple charges being laid against the driver and the owner of a tractor-trailer.

OPP released details of the incident Tuesday.

It happened last Thursday morning near the Hilldale Road intersection.

According to police, an officer stopped a truck pulling a flatbed trailer and charged the driver with careless driving, driving with an over-width load, and using an unauthorized licence plate.

In addition, the company that owns the vehicle was charged with having no insurance, and with permitting use of a plate not authorized for the vehicle.

The plates were removed and the tractor-trailer was towed from the scene.

None of the charges have been tested in court as yet.
