ORILLIA, Ont. - The OPP reported two highway fatalities over the long weekend, however, this region appeared to have a fatality free holliday.
Information from the OPP headquarters in Orillia, Ont., confirms that two people died over the Victoria Day long weekend on OPP-patrolled roads.
One man died in eastern Ontario township when he was involved in a single vehicle crash while driving a tractor.
Another man died from injuries after a single vehicle collision in northeastern Ontario.
The OPP had increased its presence on area roadways and waterways as a result of the increase in traffic expected for the holiday weekend.
