OPP seek public assistance in locating stolen snowmobile

Police encourage anyone with information regarding the snowmobile to contact the OPP.

THUNDER BAY – The Ontario Provincial Police in Thunder Bay are continuing to investigate a stolen snowmobile and are asking the public for assistance.

The OPP say they initiated an investigation into a report of a stolen snowmobile on Feb. 24 in the area of Magone Rd. just off highway 527.

The snowmobile is described as a yellow Ski-Doo Summit X 850e Turbo with a 165-inch track and 2856 km of mileage.

The vehicle is also described as having a six-litre LINQ gas can behind the seat storage box that is black in colour, a Cheetah factory racing handle bar and risers black in colour, a Skidoo rear adventure bumper black in colour, Skidoo rail reinforcements black in colour, a "Stoked" sticker on the right side of windshield, and a small dent in the left side running board.

The snowmobile has no license plate but the vehicle identification number is 2BPSTPLD5LV000228.

Police encourage anyone with information regarding the snowmobile to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
