DRYDEN, ON — Ontario Provincial Police expect to release more information soon concerning the recent seizure of a large quantity of Canadian currency.
Officers who conducted a traffic stop on Highway 17 in Machin Township, just west of Dryden, discovered an estimated half a million dollars in cash in a vehicle.
A police statement Tuesday did not provide additional details about the April 18 incident, but a spokesperson said the case remains under active investigation.
Dryden OPP officers are being assisted by the Northwest Region Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau.
