DRYDEN — Ontario Provincial Police have laid charges after finding multiple problems with a tractor-trailer on Highway 17.

The incident occurred Saturday evening in the Wabigoon area, just east of Dryden.

Police said they initially stopped the eastbound vehicle because the loaded flatbed trailer had no illuminated lights.

But during the investigation, officers also discovered what OPP described as numerous equipment and documentation issues.

In addition to charges against the driver, police ordered the unit to be taken out of service.
