THUNDER BAY – The city's outdoor skating rinks have closed for the season due to seasonal effect.

The only exception is the Prince Arthur’s Landing skating rink, which will remain open until Sunday, March 17, if weather conditions remain favourable.

The city is encouraging residents to visit Prince Arthur’s Landing skating rink, which is open every day from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., until the end of March Break.

“It was a great season for outdoor skating,” said Cory Halvorsen, Manager – Parks & Open Spaces. “Outdoor skating is an excellent way to stay active in the winter months, and I hope residents were able to get out and enjoy Thunder Bay’s many outdoor skating rinks. We look forward to another great outdoor skating season next winter.”
