THUNDER BAY — Enjoy the "excellent" outdoor skating trail at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park just east of Thunder Bay, but don't forget to bring your wallet.
Provincial officials are reminding park users that even in winter, all "vehicles entering the park are required to purchase a daily vehicle permit either at the park office or up to five days in advance on the Ontario Parks reservation website."
The daily parking fee at Sleeping Giant is $15.50.
Meanwhile, Sleeping Giant's Marie Louise Lake skating trail, which is currently 400 metres in length, is in "excellent condition," a provincial parks spokesman said.
Reservations can be made online at ontarioparks.ca. Sleeping Giant Provincial Park can also be reached by phone at 807-977-2626.
