THUNDER BAY — Incumbent Patty Hajdu cruised to victory in the federal election in Thunder Bay-Superior North on Monday.
The minister of health in Justin Trudeau's cabinet was declared the winner by the CTV decision desk shortly before 11 p.m.
In reacting to her victory, she said voters she encountered during the campaign told her they believed the government has done a good job running the country through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hajdu also said many people expressed how proud they were to have their local MP holding the health portfolio.
This will be her third term as a member of parliament.
