Pelletier named to Police Services Board

Appointment brings the board back to its full complement of five members.

THUNDER BAY -- Roydon Pelletier has been appointed by the province to a three-year term on the Thunder Bay Police Services Board.

The board learned of the appointment in a letter, dated March 5 and issued by the office of Solicitor General Sylvia Jones.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve our community as a member of the Thunder Bay Police Services Board. My goal is to be a part of a a board that fosters a healthy, safe, and inclusive community. The work of the Board and the Thunder Bay Police Service is critically important in achieving that goal," Pelletier said in a release.

He was welcomed to his new role by board chair Kristen Oliver.

“It is with great pleasure that I welcome Mr. Pelletier’s appointment to the Thunder Bay Police Services Board, bringing our Board membership to its full complement of five individuals. We have much work to do together as a board and having Mr. Pelletier join us will allow us to better do that, for the benefit of the communities we serve.”

Pelletier's first meeting will take place on Tuesday.
