Thunder Bay – Dave Ireton of Perth just knew he would be receiving a phone call with life-changing news.
Ireton received the call on Friday confirming he had won June’s Thunder Bay 50/50 jackpot held by the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation. He now has $1,346,462 more reasons to celebrate.
“Winning the 50/50 jackpot is incredible news. I've been playing the 50/50 for a while now, and while I don’t have any immediate plans yet, I intend to invest it for my two kids' futures,” Ireton said.
"Reflecting on June's milestone of 10 consecutive millionaires in our 50/50 draw is truly remarkable, something I couldn't have envisioned when we first launched the draw in 2021," said Glenn Craig, president and CEO of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation.
"Our program has flourished into one of Canada's largest 50/50 initiatives, impacting lives profoundly - not only for our winners but also for the patients and staff at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre,” Craig said.
Proceeds from the Thunder Bay 50/50 monthly draw go towards purchasing vital tools such as equipment for exceptional cancer care for patients at the hospital and across the region.
